Udhayanidhi Karunanidhis grandson to produce films

He has been into real estate business and managing the bowling alley, named "Snow Bowling" in Chennai. After a year of deliberations, he has decided to take up film production and started his own company, Red Giant Movies.
To begin with, two mega mevies are planned - one with Vijay and the other with upcoming star Vishal. The Vijay-starrer will be directed by Dharani and the one in which Vishal plays the lead role will be directed by Selvaraghavan.
Udhayanidhi has initiated talks with Vijay who has agreed to do a film for Red Giant Movies after completing his pending projects. Selvaragjavam also has given his confirmation, according to Udhayanidhi.
He has spiked rumours that he would be acting in films. "It is not true. I never wanted to act though I have received some offers."
He prefers film production to other creative aspects of films as film production is a challenging task these days and that is why he wants to get into this venture, he said.
His wife, Kiruthiga, who is a communications graduate, is interested in directing films.
