'Vaala Meenukum' has become voter-wooing song

Chennai, May 3 (IANS) "Vaala Meenukum velangu meenukum kalyanam" continues to be the song of Tamil Nadu, especially with elections round the corner. It is heard at all election meetings.

The top five Tamil albums are:

1. "Chithiram Pesuthadi" - Music: Sundar C. Babu - It has been several weeks since the "Vaala meenukum velangu meenukum kalayam" hit the market but it is still the most wanted song. With the song, composer Sundar C. Babu and Gana Ulaganathan have become the most-talked-about people in Tamil Nadu.

2. "Vettayadu vilayadu" - Music: Harris Jayaraj - As it is the Gowtham Menon-Harris Jayaraj combination, everybody is expecting another "Kaakha kaakha" and Harris Jayaraj has not disappointed his fans. The song "Partha mudhal" by Bombay Jayshree and Unni Menon is a huge hit.

3. "Pattiyal" - Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja - Even though new films and albums have hit the screen on the occasion of Tamil New Year's Day, "Pattiyal" tracks continue to top the charts.

4. "Azhagai irukiren bayamai irukirathu" - Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja - Yuvan Shankar Raja has amazed everyone with his music. Even his father was not as prolific as him. The fact is most of his albums are a hit. The latest is "AIBI".

5. "Godfather" - Music: A.R. Rahman - Everybody says it takes time for a Rahman album to grow on you. The "Godfather" album is yet to reach the topmost slot.
