‘Ilayathalapathy’ injured his knee during the shooting of A.R. Murudoss’s ‘Thuppaki’ in Mumbai. He is now undergoing treatment in London. However, there is no cause for panic. The film unit told his fans not to worry. It is a minor injury and the actor will be up in a week or ten days.

When reporters contacted Director Murugadoss, he said they were filming an action sequence and Vijay had to jump from a height. When he landed, he tripped and hurt his knee. He was not wearing a knee pad.

The injury did not deter Vijay from completing the scene. Murugadoss said they finished the particular scene though Vijay was in pain.

Vijay is being treated in London and he will join the Thuppaki crew after he gets well.

Only a four-day schedule of the talkie portion and three songs remain to be completed.

After finishing ‘Thuppaki’ Vijay has to do Gautham Menon’s ‘Yohan’ and a film by Director AL Vijay.

Vijay has also been approached by Chennai-based director Pon Kumaran who plans to remake Sudeep’s Kannada film ‘Vishnuvardhana’ in Tamil. Ilayathalapathy saw this film at a private screening in Chennai and expressed interest in the Tamil remake. But Pon Kumaran has wait for at least 12 months for Vijay to be available for new projects.
