Vijay to act in father's new film 'Adi'
Aug 6, 2005 P.V Sathish Kumar Aug 6Director S.A. Chandrasekharan is producing a Tamil film after a long interval. His son Vijay is playing the lead role in the film titled "Adi".
Pairing with Vijay is Trisha, who had co-starred with him in "Gilli", "Thiruppachchi" and other films. "Adi" is talked about as Chandrasekharan's "dream" project.
To be made on a lavish scale, "Adi' is the re-make of the Telugu film "Athanokkade".
Ramana, who directed the film "Thirumalai", has signed to direct "Adi", to be produced under the banner of "Suryan Arts", the film company of S.A. Chandrasekharan.
Saikumar, who has acted as the hero in Telugu and Kannada films, will play the villain in "Adi". The others in the cast include Prakashraj, Manivannan, Vijayakumar, Nazar, Devan, Vivek, and Sita. Vidyasagar, who was the music director for Vijay's "Gilli" and "Madura", will provide the music for "Adi" also. "Kana Kandein"-fame Sundararajan will be the cinematographer. Editing is by Suresh Urs, art direction by Rajeevan, action choreography by Peter Hain.
The 'gripping' story is centered on family relations. With fiery dialogues "Adi" will also be action-packed with a good number of fight scenes.
It was S.A, Chandrasekharan who had introduced as a hero in his own production "Naalaya Theerpu". Later, Chandrasekharan produced "Sendura Pandian" "Rasigan", "Deva" and "Vishnu" under his own direction with Vijay as the hero.
