Vijay TV hosts spoofs on movie scenes

One of Tamil Nadu's popular TV channel, Vijay TV, has begun screening an entertaining programme that hosts spoofs on movie scenes and mimics film stars.

And who else can host the show but Bosskey -- the name comedian Bhaskar has given himself.

The show "Idhu Eppadi Irrukku (How Is This)" -- a recurring line from Bharathiraja's "Padhinaaru Vayadhinile" -- mimics not only stars and their styles, but renders spoofs on dialogues and scripts.

The show, hosted every Monday 9 p.m., is divided into segments. One segment is called "Jujubee TV" -- a film-news bulletin.

Another segment is called the "Jujubee Award", where one hapless actor is chosen for the week's award on his or her idiosyncrasy. Clippings of the "award-winner's" films are shown, focusing on a particular gait or mannerism.

There is one more segment, "Nambithaan Aaganum (Must Believe)", which shows unrealistic sequences.
