Vijaykanth to head film body

Chennai, Jan 31 (IANS): Actor Vijaykanth has been re-elected president of the South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA).

Vijaykanth got 749 votes Sunday night. Film star Devi could garner only 122 votes, a SIFAA statement said Monday.

Sarath Kumar was elected the general secretary. This is his second term as a SIFAA office bearer. Actors Napolean and S.S. Chandran were elected vice-presidents.
