Director Madesh's latest film 'Mirattal' is under production. He has roped in ramp model and actor Vinay Rai in the film which is touted as an action entertainer. New face Sharmila Mandre of Bangalore plays opposite Rai. The other actors playing important roles are: Santhanam Prabhu, Pandiarajan, Pradeep Rawat and Mansoor Ali Khan.

Recently, a scene in which Sharmila is abducted was shot in the University of East London where she is shown as studying. The sequence is that a group of men in masks (hired Albanians) kidnap the heroine and take her to a private jet at the Oxford University airport. From there, she is flown to Chennai.

Madesh said the kidnap sequence was so realistic that some overseas students on the campus were alarmed unaware that it was a film shooting. "We immediately calmed them down telling them it was just play acting."

Tulu-speaking Vinay Rai is not very familiar in Kollywood. He made his debut as an actor in Director Jeeva's 'Unnale Unnale' (2007). Sudha and Tanisha Mukherjee co-starred with him. His next Tamil film was critically acclaimed 'Jayamkondan' (2008). In 2009, he featured in Saran's 'Modi Vilayadu' alongside Kajal Agarwal and it bombed at the BO. Two of his Tamil films 'Veelle' and 'Nootrukku Nooru' got stuck at the production stage.
