Chennai, Feb 5 (IANS) There is only one word to describe Yuvan Shankar Raja's "Pudupettai" album - 'terrific'. He has not composed such great music in the recent times. The album has returned to occupy the top position again.

The top five Tamil albums are:

1. "Pudupettai" - Music Director: Yuvan Shankar Raja - Yuvan has judiciously mixed symphony, 'koothu' and rap in the album, and the best in the lot, of course, are the melodious classy songs.

Director Selvaraghavan said in an interview that they took a gamble while composing the symphony. The gamble has paid off.

2. "Paramasivan" - Music Director: Vidyasagar - The album is doing brisk business because the movie is a hit. Otherwise, there is nothing exceptional about the audio.

3. "Sandakozhi" - Director: Yuvan Shankar Raja - The song "Davani potta deepavali" by Vijay Yesudas and Shreya Ghosal has made the album go up the ladder.

4. "Aathi" - Director: Vidyasagar - An average album but "Olli olli udamba" by Karthik and Anuradha Sriram is quite popular and is being played by all the radio channels.

5. "Kalaivanin Kathal" - Director: Yuvan Shankar Raja - This album is sure to be a big hit once the film releases but it is not as classy as "Pudupettai".
