Not Ajay Devgn but Sunny Deol will star in Singham 3

Mention ‘Singham’ and but obviously one thinks of Ajay Devgn, as till now he has been the face of this popular franchise. However, the third instalment to this franchise will now have a new face and its none other than Sunny Deol.

What’s more, the film will not even be directed by Rohit Shetty, who had earlier directed the first two instalments. Titled as ‘S3’, the film is produced by Jayantilal Gada and is actually the remake of South film ‘Si3’ or ‘Singham 3’ that starred Suriya, who was also part of the first two movies in the hit franchise.

Apparently, the ‘Poster Boy’ actor Sunny Deol, who is all set to reprise the role of the cop in the film called up Ajay Devgn before signing the film. A source close to the development of the film said, “Sunny saw the South film and was impressed and wanted to do the Hindi version. But before signing the film, Sunny called Ajay and told him he is doing it. He also told Ajay he won’t use the name ‘Singham’ anywhere. Ajay was cool with it.”

Now that’s a sweet gesture, isn’t it?
