The 1997 film ‘Oru Yathramozhi’, starring Mohanlal in the lead, was a delayed project and rightly so, it was released very late after its post-production works.

The film, which also marked the return of legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan to Malayalam, was first titled ‘Swarnachamaram.’

Later, when the film got delayed due to various reasons, the makers of the film renamed it ‘Oru Yathramozhi’. Directed by Prathap Pothan, the film was based on a story by Priyadarshan and a screenplay by John Paul.

It also stars Ranjitha, Nedumudi Venu, and Thilakan in key roles. It was produced by V. B. K. Menon under his home banner Anugraha Cine Arts.
