Radhika Apte terms militant attacks on Indian Army 'disastrous'

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Radhika Apte on Tuesday expressed solidarity with the Indian Army.

"All I feel is that what is happening is absolutely disastrous. What has happened is beyond our comprehension because we were not there. You can sympathise and talk about it only. I have no words," She said at the launch of Swatch watches on Tuesday.

Asked about banning the Pakistani actors the "Parched" actress said that she doesn't want to indulge herself into the matter.

The 'Kabaali' star also spoke about the recent racial offence made against her co-actress Tannishtha Chatterjee on a popular comedy show.

"I believe in a lot of different things. If you are talking about cracking a joke on colour, I am completely against it. They didn't comment on my colour but called me lizard or something which I found funny. However, I completely support Tannishtha," Radhika said.

"Honestly I knew about the show. If they had done something like body-shaming me, I also would've protested. I spoke to them on backstage. I think Tannishtha wasn't aware of the show but the statement she made I agree with her 200 per cent," she added.

Radhika said, she has finished shooting for "Ghoul", "The Ashram" and "Bombairiya" which will releas in December.

Directed by Ben Rekhi "The Ashram" also stars actors like Kal Penn and Melissa Leo. "Bombairiya" is directed by Pia Sukanya and also stars Akshay Oberoi and Siddhanth Kapoor.
