As the festival of Eid is nearing movie buffs are eagerly waiting to welcome Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight.’ Unfortunately, Salman’s Pakistani fans will not be able to enjoy the movie on the occasion of Eid as not a single distributor is willing to release ‘Tubelight’ in Pakistan.

The distributors are reluctant to release ‘Tubelight’ because two other big local movies are scheduled for an Eid release in Pakistan. They want to avoid any kind of competition and hence have decided to not release ‘Tubelight’ on Eid.

Pertaining to his huge fan following in Pakistan, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ had made a good box office collection in Pakistan by earning about USD 430,000. Hence it’s no surprise that Pakistani distributors are hesitating to release ‘Tubelight’ against Pakistani films ‘Yalghaar’ and ‘Shor Sharaba.’

CEO of Salman Khan Films Amar Bhutala said, “Tubelight will definitely release in Pakistan too but I cannot confirm a release date.” He had previously made a statement saying, “Salman has a huge fan following in Pakistan, which has only grown with the positive messaging in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan.’ We hope to release Tubelight in Pakistan as well, and our efforts continue in that direction, but we respect the law of the land and judiciary if they decide otherwise.”

Besides ‘Tubelight’ may also face conflicts pertaining to the anti-China sentiments in Pakistan. The Salman Khan starrer is all set to release on 25th June in India.
