Shraddha Kapoor is taking tips from Saina Nehwal to prep for her next biopic

Biopics are not an easy business, and none can testify that fact better than Shraddha Kapoor. The young Bollywood actress has just finished doing one biopic – ‘Haseena Parkar’ and even before that film has released, Shraddha has moved on to her next project, which again is a biopic.

Shraddha next is a film based on badminton player Saina Nehwal and will be directed by Amole Gupte. Talking about working in biopics back-to-back, Shraddha said, “Working on a biopic is a huge responsibility. I hope I can do justice to the films.”

Further speaking about her preparation to play the badminton champion, Shraddha said, “I have fallen in love with the sport. I look forward to my badminton sessions every day. I see young kids playing the sport amazingly, which is inspiring. It’s a tough sport. Apart from being physically fit, you need to be mentally strong. It’s going to be a challenging role.”

The ‘Haseena Parkar’ actor also said that she is constantly in touch with Saina to prep for her role. “I keep messaging her. We exchange notes about the game. I also share videos of my training sessions with Saina and she shares her feedback. She tells me how my game can get better. Since I need to pick up her mannerisms and understand her mindset, watching old matches is also part of the preparation.”

Now this is one film we are really waiting for.
