'Shutter': first Malayalam film to be remade in Marathi

The moral suspense thriller ‘Shutter’ becomes the first Malayalam film to be remade in Marathi. The film which is the directorial debut of Joy Mathew features Lal, Sreenivasan, Vinay Forrt, Sajitha Madathil, and Riya Saira in the lead roles.

The Marathi version is directed by V K Prakash and it stars Sachin Khedekar and Sonalee Kulkarni as its primary protagonists.

The Marathi movie is produced by Sajeev M P and Prakash Bare.

The Malayalam movie was showcased in various Film Festivals and had won the Silver Crow Pheasant Award (Rajata Chakoram) for Best Feature Film in the International Film Festival of Kerala.
