The final cast for Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' has been announced

After a long period of uncertainity regarding both the future of the film and its cast, the final casting of director Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight has been announced.


The cast includes Tarantino veterans like Samuel L. Jackson and Tim Roth, as well as newbies like Demián Bichir, Channing Tatum, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.


The Weinstein Company — which is selling international markets at the American Film Market — announced the official cast list on Thursday and said shooting will take place in Telluride, Colo.


The titular 'Hateful Eight' are as follows:


1. Samuel L. Jackson as Major Marquis Warren


2. Kurt Russell as John “The Hangman” Ruth


3. Jennifer Jason Leigh as Daisy Domergue


4. Walton Goggins as Chris Mannix


5. Demian Bichir as Bob


6. Tim Roth as Oswaldo Mobray


7. Michael Madsen as Joe Gage


8. Bruce Dern as General Sanford Smithers


Tatum’s role has not been disclosed so far.


A first description of what the plot will be like has now been released too. The film, set some years after the Civil War, will find all eight of these people converging in Wyoming and getting stuck at a stagecoach stop amid a heavy storm.
