Actor Tom Hardy, who has in the movie "Legend" essayed the infamous Kray twins - a notorious criminal duo in London active in the 1950s and 1960s - has spoken about the twin challenge he faced while filming the scenes.

"Whatever I laid down in the morning, I had to literally follow in the afternoon with the other character," Hardy said.

"The brother-fight is a perfect example of where we had to really be aware that, whenever I interfered with my brother's face (in the morning and in) the afternoon I had to return that interference, and interfere back into his face," he added.

He spoke about the challenges of changing into the roles of both the twins Ronald "Ronnie" Kray and Reginald "Reggie" Kray.

"You realise that, if I'm playing Reggie at the top of the day, and I'm slapping Ron, Reggie's got rings on, I'm going to have to go back in, and shoot the Ron side of it. If I've thrown a hard slap as Reggie, then I'm going to receive as Ron, a hard slap from Reggie. I'm getting twice the beating," he said.

Directed by Brian Helgeland, the film captures the rise and fall of the Kray twins, the relationship that bound them together, and charts their gruesome career to their downfall and imprisonment for life in 1969.

"Legend" is set to release in India on November 27 by PVR Pictures. Click the Movie button below for more info:
