When the hit actor-director combination of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ - Salman Khan and Kabir Khan announced their next film together, hopes were really high. However, unfortunately unlike their previous outing, ‘Tubelight’ failed to set the box office on fire and the distributors suffered heavy losses.

In one of its kind act, Salman Khan promised to compensate for the losses faced by the distributors in June. Soon his father Salim Khan had a meeting with the distributors and now Salman Khan has agreed to pay them Rs. 32.5 crores as reimbursement.

A source was quoted saying, “Salman Khan had promised to return his distributors’ money by the end of July. However, he was busy shooting abroad for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and now that he’s back in Mumbai, he has agreed to return Rs. 32.5 crores to the distributors. This is half of the total losses suffered by distributors over Tubelight.”

Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz, who faced losses due to ‘Tubelight’ coincidentally also suffered a loss of about Rs. 50 crores pertaining to Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Jab Harry met Sejal.’

According to reports SRK will also follow the footsteps of his friend and compensate for the losses.
