Unlike, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn believes that refunding money to distributors is not right!

Bollywood stars of late have turned pretty magnanimous and have often spoken about returning money to distributors if their films failed to rake in the moolah at the box office.

In fact, recently Salman Khan, whose ‘Tubelight’ caused severe losses to its distributors and exhibitors compensated them for their losses. It was reported that even Shah Rukh Khan was to follow suit for the poor performance of his last release ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.

And while many actors have spoken about it and even have agreed to follow Salman’s footstep, Ajay Devgn whose recent release ‘Baadshaho’ is doing a decent business at the box office, begs to differ.

Ajay recently spoke about it and said, “On humanity grounds, if anybody wants to refund its fine, technically nobody can ask. If I have earned something and you have not I will be happy to share. But if you see technically there are two ways of buying films, MG (Minimum Guarantee) and there is Advance. Some distributors buy films in advance. It means if they pay 10 crores in advance for the film and if the film does not recover that much then it has to be paid back how much ever the loss is. Otherwise, if MG that means you bought my film at 10 crores on a minimum guarantee that means you bought the film then you can’t technically ask money back. They are just requesting based on their relationship they have. It’s not ok to hold a super star responsible when they made 100 crores on Salman’s films that time they didn’t say I will give you back some of the extra money I made. Business is Business it has to be fair. Just because one film didn’t work you can’t ask for a refund, what about the other films that worked on box office.”

Ajay will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again.’
