Vetri Maaran's Vada Chennai poster released

National Award winner Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai, which is planned as a trilogy, had its first look released. The film features Dhanush in the lead role with Aishwarya Rajesh, director Ameer, Samuthirakani, Andrea and others.

Vetri Maaran had disclosed about the film to a vernacular weekly. According to it, Vada Chennai is a story that spans 35 years. Dhanush plays Anbu, a national level carrom player who aspires to become a world champion. Director Ameer plays Rajan, Samuthirakani plays Guna, Andrea plays Chandra and Aishwarya Rajesh plays Padma.

The first part of the trilogy, planned as a June Release, has 4 songs out of which one is a typical Gaana number. The film also has a political angle, with a leader's death followed by the split of his political party. The film produced by Dhanush, Lyca and Gras Root Company has Santhosh Narayanan scoring music and Velraj handling camera. Click the Movie button below for more info:
