Vijay donates 3 crores worth of relief materials

The recent rains and floods that havocked Chennai, Cuddalore and suburbs witnessed many people coming forward to help the needy.

There was quite a lot of people from the film industry who did their bit that included, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, RJ Balaji, Vishal and many others.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is no exception to this and he through his fan club known as Vijay Makkal Iyakkam had donated about three crores of relief materials to affected people in Chennai, Cuddalore and Pondicherry. The members of VMI were involved in door to door distribution of the necessary food items, domestic necessities, clothing and also other non-perishable essentials. A spokesperson of the VMI also said that Rs.4000 each was given to their members who had been affected by the floods. Apparently Vijay has also gone to certain places to give away these in person. Well done Vijay and his fans club!
