Vijay honours producers

The audio launch of Jilla was held in a very low-key programme yesterday at a city hotel in Chennai. The event was marked as Vijay helping producers who had launched him early in his career. Vijay presented cheques of Rs 5 lakhs each to M Rajaram, Soundarapandian, Balaji Prabhu (son of late producer M Baskar), Shantha (wife of late KRG) and CV Rajendran. Vijay said that he wanted to honour the producers who helped him in his career at the initial stages and said that it was due to the compulsion of his manager that he did it as a function in a hotel. He added that he wanted to keep it in his office.

Later, the audio of Jilla was launched. Producer of Jilla RB Choudary, director Neason, music director D Imman were present on the dais and amidst the producers the team released the audio.

Jilla starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead will be released for Pongal.
