Vishwaroopam 2 begins after a long time

Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 1 was embroiled in a lot of controversies before it finally hit the screens a couple of years ago. Even during the release of the film, Kamal had mentioned that he had shot most of the second part of the film too.

But, Vishwaroopam 2 could never take off from where it left due to financial issues. Finally, a few months ago, Kamal had announced that he would be taking up the production reins of the films from Aascar Ravichandran. However, Kamal did not begin work on the film, instead concentrated on the TV reality show Bigg Boss and later his political aspirations took centrestage.

Now it appears like he has decided to shift focus on the film and the shooting of remaining portion of the film had begun in the Officer’s Training Academy in Chennai. Although there are talks that the film is aiming for a Pongal 2018 release, it is quite unlikely that the team will complete work before that. The new CBFC rules regarding a film submission for certification at least 60 days before, also makes it difficult for a January release. Click the Movie button below for more info:
