Kutty Sranku Malayalam Movie

'Kutty Sranku' is Megastar Mammootty's first film in which he teams up with renowned director Shaji N Karun.

Shaji N. Karun himself has said that the film is layered with several emotions and shades which could only be brought to life by an actor par excellence such as Mammootty.

The film that has been set in the 50's tells the life story of a man who travelled across the state during the time in his boat. He encounters different seasons and different women in his life journey.

Kutty Srank has already been screened at several film festivals across the world, the most important ones being Pusan International Film Festival, Montreal World Film Festival9, Mumbai Film Festival and the International Film Festival of India. It has been a creative and self innovating journey for the movie with the film being appreciated by movie lovers all over.

However it didn't make an appearance at the International Film Festival of Kerala last year.

Kutty Srank has been scripted by Shaji, P.F. Mathews & Hari Krishnan (screenplay). Along with Mammootty, the film also stars popular actresses Padmapriya, Kamalini, Srilankan actress Meena Kumari in key roles. The music of the film has been composed by Isaac Thomas. For the first time, a Malayalam film has been shot by a female cinematographer Anjali Shukla.

Reliance Big Pictures would release the much anticipated Kutty Srank on July 23rd, 2010.
