A brilliant film after a long time, and you take Ranveer Singh back into your heart as you think, 'Apna time aayega' (my time will come!). Read Review

Article 15 (HINDI)
Ayushmann Khurrana , Isha Talwar , Manoj Pahwa Sayani Gupta
Director: Anubhav Sinha
Trailer |
Critic Rating:
User Rating:
An IPS officer from a privileged background is sent off to what is 'the wild wild West' part of rural India. Everything on the surface seems okay but underneath it all is a simmering cauldron of caste and crime. The film tackles the tensions well, has shades of 'Mulk' (made by the same filmmaker) but the predictability of a cop's dilemma - to go by the rule book or instinct - remains the same. Read Review
Sonchiriya (HINDI)
Sushant Singh Rajput , Bhumi Pednekar , Manoj Bajpai Ranvir Shorey
Director: Abhishek Chaubey

When the leader of a dreaded bandit gang dies, the gang splits. With three of the men choosing to save a woman and a girl, it's a fascinating story of cops, bandits and the woman's family chasing the deserters. Or are they saviors? The story is told brilliantly and keeps you glued to your seat. Read Review
Kabir Singh (HINDI)
Shahid Kapoor , Kiara Advani , Soham Majumder Nikita Dutta
Director: Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Trailer |
Critic Rating:
User Rating:
A shot by shot remake in Hindi of the Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy, this film stays true to the tale of an obsessed lover. Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani are lovers in medical school but when she's forced to marry someone else, the brilliant doctor goes into a downwards spiral of alcohol and drugs. The misogyny is very difficult to swallow for 174 minutes. But the acting and the relationships between the characters make this film a decent watch. Read Review

Uri: The Surgical Strike (HINDI)
Vicky Kaushal , Paresh Rawal , Yami Gautam Kirti Kulhari
Director: Aditya Dhar
Trailer |
Critic Rating:
User Rating:
Four Pakistani terrorists infiltrated an Indian Army base and killed sleeping soldier in their barracks in Uri. India replied with Zero Dark Thirty style over the border attack called 'Surgical Strikes'. It's shot well, and despite being a patriotic revenge drama it remains soulless. Read Review
Chhichhore (HINDI)
Sushant Singh Rajput , Shraddha Kapoor , Varun Sharma Tahir Raj Bhasin
Director: Nitesh Tiwari
Trailer |
Critic Rating:
User Rating:
While at times highly predictable, not many could deny that this journey of these Chhichhoras to the finals wasn't a fun, if uneven, ride. With a bit more attention to the writing, this film could've differentiated itself from the crowd with its game cast and setting. Presently, it makes for a good one time watch but not much more. Batla House (HINDI)
John Abraham , Mrunal Thakur , Ravi Kishan Manish Chaudhari
Director: Nikkhil Advani
Trailer |
Critic Rating:
User Rating:
Batla House boasts of a taut first half and a confident turn by John Abraham in the lead, only to be undone by uneven writing and a wasted climax. However, if it's patriotism you're looking for this weekend at a theater near you, this Nikkhil Advani film is not the worst bet you can make. Read Review

Arjun Patiala (HINDI)
Diljit Dosanjh , Kriti Sanon , Varun Sharma Ronit Roy
Director: Dinesh Vijan

This is a mixed bag of nuts, some crunchy, others tasty and also some peanuts that taste a little off. A director and producer listen to the narration of yet another police story. It's a buddy cop story, with baddies and politicians and an editor of the newspaper thrown in for conspiracy. What it lacks in 'conflict' is made up by the silliness played earnestly by the ensemble cast. It's not hi-comedy, but it's a fun watch. Read Review
Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (HINDI)
Abhimanyu Dasani , Radhika Madan , Gulshan Devaiya Jimit Trivedi
Director: Vasan Bala

A homage to everything we grew up with: kung fu flicks, Bollywood revenge dramas, love stories, reality shows and yes, superhero movies. You will have a smile pasted on your face to watch this very different offering about a chap who doesn't feel physical pain, but is out to avenge his mother. It's a delight to watch this superbly done action flick. Read Review
