You get only a slice of the eventful life of a compassionate 'thief', who had petrified the rich in the erstwhile Travancore during the 19th century, in 'Kayamakulam Kochunni.' Writers Bobby and Sanjay have deftly tweaked the tale from 'Aithihyamala' authored by Kottarathil Sankunni for the filmic purpose. The unwavering template of Sreenivasan's script once again zeroes in on a lethargic youth, who dreams big sans any sincere efforts. Apparently, Prakashan aka PR Akash is a replica of such characters created by the scenarist earlier. In fact, the reinvention of Sathyan Anthikad as a filmmaker in the narration and subtle treatment makes 'Njan Prakashan' an admirable and feel-good family drama. Read Review
